My name is Keating, and I prefer they/them pronouns. I am a theatre artist in the St. Louis area. I am the Co-Artistic Director of Poor Monsters, the Communications Director at ERA, and a graduate of Saint Louis University.
I am an intersectional feminist and I use my art to celebrate womxn.
WHAT I'M UP TO: I just finished performing in LOVE'S LABORS LOST at Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. Next up, I'll be performing in WHAMMY with YoungLiars.
WHAT I'M THINKING ABOUT: How can the StL community engage each other more? How can we create a central resource space for theatre artists?
I was born in Montana, grew up in Lincoln, NE, and I've fallen deeply in love with St. Louis. I love a good (or bad) dad joke, and observing people in their natural habitat. When not in rehearsals, I can be found wandering around Tower Grove Park. My theatre obsession started at 12 years old when my mom handed me a copy of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I saw the production of it later that year at a local high school. I got such a high from watching it come to life in front of me -- especially the play-within-a-play at the end. I went back every single night of the run. I've been chasing that high ever since.
